Giant Microbes Kissing Disease Mono Microbe

Now I’ve heard some cheesy Valentines cards, those theatrical one-liners that high school boys often try to think up. I remember making a few bucks back in junior year, selling folded paper cranes to guys who would spin around and tell their girlfriends that they had made this crane, just for her, a labor of love and all that cheesiness that the girls clearly knew to laugh at.

So when my little teenage brother spied the Giant Microbes Kissing Disease Mono Microbe on my computer screen and found out what it was, I knew I’d never hear the end of it.

Giant Microbes Sleeping Sickness Microbe

I’ve got this friend from class who, when asked what her hobby is, always answers: SLEEP. She is almost always late for her first class of the day. The reason? She slept through her alarm clock. And usually, not too long after wandering drowsily into class, she’ll nod back off again into a restful slumber at her desk. Thankfully, she doesn’t snore. She seems to doze through most all of her classes, actually.

On a couple of occasions, some of us have tried gifting her with louder and even louder alarm clocks, energy drinks, espresso, caffeinated candies, you name it. No change. So for her birthday just last week, we decided to stop buying alarm clocks for her. Instead, she unwrapped the box to find a Giant Microbes Sleeping Sickness Microbe.

The real sleeping sickness microbe is a parasitic disease found in Africa. While the parasites don’t have the sleepy eyes that the Giant Microbe Sleeping Sickness Microbe has, the rest of it actually does look alike! Giant Microbes Black Death Microbe

We’ve got this uncle in the family who has always been something of a hypochondriac. He doesn’t shake hands with people. He won’t touch doorknobs or hold the door open for a lady unless his sleeve is covering his hand. He doesn’t use the hand rails on the stairs or escalator, freaks out when someone coughs without covering their nose and mouth thoroughly. Oh, he loves the outdoors, but good luck getting him to hug his own little children if they got mud on their clothes. And not to forget, the hand sanitizer that he carries everywhere.

So when Christmas came along, we were wondering – what do you get for an uncle like that? The other year I’d tried giving him a gag gift – something like the can of peanuts with a snake that jumps out when you open it… It didn’t go down too well.

I had a teacher back in high school who could make a historically boring-as-heck class come alive with his stories.
